0.7.1 Mini Patch


Ohoy Manggugubat! After a day of not looking at this, a bunch of player feedback has come in, and I've cleaned up 0.7 even more for you. No large paradigm shaking effects here, just relatively cleaning up of wordings to be consistent and clear.

Changelog 0.7.1

Weapon Tweaks:

  • Weapon Table updated with some neat stuff.
  • 1H Blade: "Gain +1 to your Strike when attacking with 1H blades" has been replaced with "On a Critical: deal 2 extra damage."
  • 2H Blade: "Deal 1 extra damage" replaced with "You cannot deal damage less than 2 with this weapon."
  • Staffs and quarterstaff categorization has been moved from 1h and 2H bludgeons to 1h and 2H Polearms. Polearms now have the following text: "BRV piercing or crushing damage."
  • Staves now have the following text: "Staves usually made of bamboo, and would have flowers blossoming upon them. Usually cannot be used to whack people, as their fragilility makes them easy to break. Gain 1 to all Magical Attack ranges while wielding this."

New Weapon Type:

Instrument, a Heavy Implement: "Native instruments, outfitted for war. Kudyapi, Subing, Korlong. Always ranged 4. Ignores Elevation."

Profession Edits and Changes

Bantara Bowman

Feature: Bantara's Guidance now has the following text: When you attack at least 5 spaces away from the target of your attack, gain 1 Precision.

Busalian

Feature: Force of Will now has the following text: "Whenever the target of your ranged attack is 3 spaces away from you, gain 1 Precision."

Strife Awitan

Larger changes for the Strife Awitan

  • Proficiencies: Strife Awitan are proficient in Instruments
  • Clarified that First Verse is a Basic Technique
  • Strum the Kudyapi now has the following text: "Target: 1 enemy in weapon range, Prereq: Must be wielding an instrument, Attack: Sorcery vs Resist, Hit: Deal SPI wind damage and 1 ally in weapon range gains 1 Precision on their next attack.
  • Thrum the Subing now has the following text: "Target: 1 creature within weapon range, Prereq: Commit 1 Gahum; Must be wielding an instrument, Attack: Sorcery vs Resolve, Hit: Deal 3 spirit damage and the target is Confused until the end of their next turn., Effect: 1 ally in weapon range may make a save against one effect."
  • Added the following Prereq for Strife Tolali: "must be wielding an instrument"
  • Added the following Prereq for Heaven Ending Kulintang: "must be wielding an instrument"

Sundang Balaknon

  • A lot of the Balaknon's abilities have been switched and their gameplan becomes very reaction based. It would be best to check the PDF itself for changes.
  • Proficiencies: Sundang Balaknon is now proficient with Instruments.

Foe Changes

  • The Strike and Sorcery attack dichotomy is back. Important to note, due to how later mechanics might deal with "physical attacks" and "magical attacks", which Accuracy does not inherently have.
  • All references to Ranks for foes have been replaced with Tiers, to avoid confusion with Kadungganan Rank.  Thus they are now Base Tier, Dangerous Tier, and Treacherous Tier.
